Got a PDF with sideways or upside-down pages? Learn how to rotate any PDF page to the correct orientation in seconds.
Receiving a PDF with pages in the wrong orientation is surprisingly common — especially with scanned documents. Fixing it takes seconds with the right tool.
Incorrectly oriented pages usually happen when:
90° Clockwise: Rotates pages to the right. Use when pages appear rotated to the left.
90° Counter-clockwise: Rotates pages to the left. Use when pages appear rotated to the right.
180°: Flips pages completely upside down. Use for pages that are inverted.
Rotate All: Applies the same rotation to every page in the document. Useful when the entire PDF was scanned in the wrong orientation.
Rotate Specific Pages: Select individual pages to rotate. Useful when only some pages are incorrectly oriented within an otherwise correct document.
Combine with Merge. If you have multiple PDFs with different orientation issues, fix each one with the Rotate tool, then combine them using Merge PDF.
Fix orientation before converting. If you plan to convert your PDF to Word or images, rotate it first for the cleanest conversion results.
Check all pages. Scroll through the entire PDF after rotating to make sure every page looks correct.
Scanned documents: Fix pages scanned sideways or upside-down.
Mixed orientation documents: Correct individual landscape pages within a portrait document.
Phone camera scans: Phone-scanned PDFs often have orientation issues that are easily fixed with this tool.
Merged PDFs: When merging PDFs from different sources, some pages may need rotation to match the rest.
Can I rotate just one page in a multi-page PDF? Yes. Use the page selector to choose exactly which pages to rotate and leave others unchanged.
Will rotating reduce quality? No. Rotation is a lossless operation — no quality is lost.
Can I undo a rotation? Simply rotate in the opposite direction to reverse it, or rotate 180° to flip back.
Does it work on scanned PDFs? Yes. The Rotate tool works on all PDF types including scanned image-based documents.
Is there a page limit? No. You can rotate PDFs with any number of pages.
